Waaa!!! Web kereta.info has nearly reaching its max bandwidth of 50 Gigabyte bandwidth on September 2008! Within first 5 days, the bandwidth already reach 5 Gig. If we calculate in a month basis, it will strike to 30 Gig at the end of the month! Oh.. Plus other high traffic web under my server, i think i Need to really get the dedicated server already. Hope that this site will not suspended because of over bandwidth.

What is the cause of over bandwith?

The main important cause of it is very high traffic and visitor visits on your website. But, some other unwanted bandwidth usage is from image fishing activity. Image fishing activity happened when there is somebody posts any of your image source from your web in another website that load the image directly from your web.

This guy really appreciate what you have done with your articles on your web and found that your picture is usefull. So, they decide to just copy the image url and post the image somewhere on the internet. Everytime the other web load the image directly from your web, at the same time, they use your bandwidth too much as the file transfer from your web to the other web also count as a bandwidth.

So, to take advantage of this unwanted cause of very high bandwidth, you can put a signature on every single picture on your web. Or, if you found that the web are using too much of your bandwidth, you can directly delete the image from your web server.
